Ion-channel genetic polymorphisms and juvenile myoclonic epilepsy
Abstract
Samia Layouni
Juvenile myoclonic epilepsy is the most studied form of genetic generalized epilepsies despite its various genetic traits. Several genes were described as causal for this type of epilepsy. Certain belong to ion channels group, others not. In the present report we resumed genetic results of ionchannels polymorphisms associated to juvenile myoclonic epilepsy and we described briefly, the engendered functional deficits.
